  • 3 Year contract (renewable).
  • Single contract for unmarried candidates, while Family contract offered for married candidates.
  • Generous Tax free basic salary offered according to experience. Salary paid in Qatari Riyals.  From 15000 - 27875 QAR per month.  Depending on currency rates 27875 QAR is +/- 7700 USD / 6300 EUR / 5600 GBP / 90 000 South-African Rand.
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary. 
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
  • School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
  • 40 days paid annual vacation days.
  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum: BSc in Rehab Specialty ( Physiotherapy ,Occupational Therapy , Speech therapy ) from an recognized
university Evidence of continuing professional development in management and leadership.

EXPERIENCE: 7 Years of clinical experience of which 3 years of working in supervisory and managerial role in the field of rehabilitation.

“Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in
the state of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health”.

Job Specification

Job Summary
The Director of Adult/Paediatric Rehabilitation Services provides strategic leadership and direction with multiple disciplines within the Hospital/ Facility. The Director of Adult/Paediatric Rehabilitation Services provides knowledge and leadership at the hospital/ facility level for strategic initiatives. The Director of Adult/Paediatric Rehabilitation Services is responsible for operations along with the integration of clinical, research and academic activities of the professions consistent with the Hospital’s vision as an academic health sciences centre. This position (with prior notification of ED rehab service) is responsible for Rehabilitation budget of the Hospital/Facility.

Operations Management
1. Identifies and/or responds to the need for new or expanded Rehabilitation services and practices within hospital / facility . Ensuring the director of professions is involved in development of new services
2. Collaborates with other Professionals Leaders to foster a balance of care with the appropriate staff providing the best mix of knowledge and skills for the service provided
3. Ensures appropriate planning, evaluation, acquisition and staff training ensuring at all times Directors of Professionals are involved at planning and approval stage.
4. Initiates and maintains formal and ad hoc communication with peers in order to be current with Hospital developments
5. Member of Hospital Executive Board and Hospital wide committees
6. Perform other duties as assign.

Specific Responsibilities
1. Provides leadership and direction for all its team members including coaching, advising, mentoring.
2. Responsible for implementation of and compliance with HR initiatives/policies, i.e., Performance Planning Program, Staff Engagement Attendance Management Program, Hiring with collaboration of the Director of Profession, Performance Improvement Plans, and Termination
3. Accountable for developing and administering the operating plans for Rehabilitation servicesfacility in a fiscally responsible manner upon ensuring approval from ED Rehab services.
4. Ensures cost-effective allocation of human resources to support patient care, research and education through analysis of workload, staffing patterns and program need
5. Prepares business plans with Director of professions when indicated and ensures that the appropriate financial analysis is included
6. Ensures regular communication with staff regarding ongoing issues and new developments.
